Course Overview
The course provides an excellent general grounding in first aid and will enable you to perform appropriate first aid procedures and basic life support skills.
This course satisfies training requirements across a range of community and workplace settings and includes:
โข DRSABCD (the โPrimary Surveyโ).
โข Recovery Position.
โข Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in accordance with ARC Guidelines.
โข Access and operate an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
โข Use of EpiPens (Anaphylaxis).
โข Use of Ventolin Inhalers (Asthma).
โข Legal issues across first aid.
Course Content
โข Allergic reaction, anaphylaxis, asthma, bleeding, burns and cardiac conditions.
โข Choking, diabetes, drowning, envenomation and eye injuries.
โข Fractures, dislocations, sprains and strains
โข Head, neck and spinal injuries, hypothermia and hyperthermia.
โข Minor wounds, nose-bleed and poisoning.
โข Seizures, shock, sharps injuries and strokes.

Face-to-Face and Online Learning.
Course Requirements
A basic understanding of spoken and written English, as well as a basic level of physical fitness is required to complete this course.

Refreshing Skills
Aquatech Services follows ARC Guideline 10.1 Basic Life Support Training which recommends all those trained in CPR should refresh their CPR skills at least annually.
